WHAT IS A SYNDIC ?

HISTORY OF THE WORD:

The root word of Syndicus traces back to 27 BC.

From the Late Latin: syndicus, from the Greek σύνδικος, one who helps in a court of justice, an advocate, representative), a term applied in some countries to an officer of government with varying different powers; to a representative or delegate of a university, institution or other corporation, entrusted with special functions or powers.


The basic meaning is that of a delegate or magistrate responsible for ompanies, guilds, and such places as The University of Paris (The Sorbonne), and Cambridge University had members who were termed syndici. Basically, they were organized knowledge keepers and promoters of clear thought and the extension of clear thought. Also, a certified, legal, or formally accepted agent of some center of leaqrning, knowledge, and exploration of anything from economics and science tall the way to the quest for pure wisdom.


What is THE SYNDIC ?

To this writer, A Syndic is an agent protecting and promoting the path of Change within learning, knowledge preservation, creation of public inspiration, with, at all times, using a basis of only Compassion, Wisdom, & Power. A poetic modern mythic image...might be: A Syndic is a “Johnny Appleseed” of making fertile the Land of Intuition and Consciousness, through the public use and promotion of various fields of emotion, psychism, and knowledge.

The specific gathering of Socrates and Plato in the common daily marketplace of Athens between 450BC and 328 BC was a Syndic. The pagan Witangemot “a meeting local men and women” that met irregularly and discussed and promoted old & new Ideas as Living Beings that were helpful to them and were nourished by be thought about.


“In the novel Atlas Shrugged, whether the author (Ayn Rand) knew this or was ignorant of this, the oft repreated phrase “Who is John Galt?” is really a “Call” to a Syndic for further knowledge, and at the same time, is the call of a Syndic for the learning and gathering of greater knowledge.

This, The Syndic is a call for this Greater knowledge Gathering & Creating, and also, an establishment for their Public Recognition.


Also, it is a humble attempt to clear confusion from the fertile forest of the Human Mind, and to hearten and make glad the possibility that human knowledge is not only a ceaseless companion, but that this companion, is a friend that continually gives us personal and evolutionary sustenance, moving into the realm of the Alchymical Marriage of Matter & Consciousness within the Realm of Eternal Energy.
