This is the continuous question asked in Ayn Rand's book Atlas Shrugged and this question is the core of the book's meaning. Although there is much to disagree with in her book, still, this question is fascinating because the question Is the answer AND the Answer IS the question.
John Galt is the person who "has the solutions" and so as people seek him out (as he is almost impossible to contact) - there very seeking answers the real questions that are different for each person and can only be answered through the growth of that person's experience, so that they themselves can not only know their own personal answer, but, also, know enough to help the Common Weal and the Stark Individual at the same time.
"Who is John Galt?"
