Recent Syndics: "Sky King"

(observed June 3, 1965)

“Sky King” came out of nowhere and disappeared. He was observed by about 10 people in Philadelphia, PA on June 3rd, 1965. He was a a young man of about 20 or 21 years of age. He played simple songs from “sing-a-long song books” and old popular songs like “On Top of Old Smokey”.

He played a 1920s ukulele and sang. A then transfixed an entire audience into literally, a multitude of wonder-filled yet unknown actual, living, breathing dimensions. Using simple melodies and even simpler lyrics, and with only a ukulele for accompaniment, “Sky King” transfixed advanced musicians, various highly intelligent people, and people “off the street” to explore the unknown without drugs, yoga, meditation, or even thinking itself.

After the impromptu concert, he said: “Isn’t this fun?” and walked down the street, never to be seen again.
